Boko Haram terrorists want to impose their
deadly, widely condemned, version of Islam on
Nigeria.
A suspected Boko Haram suicide bomber has hit
a market in Gombi area of Adamawa state.
At least eight people are reported killed in the
attack. But state police spokesperson Othman
Abubakar said only three people, including the
suicide bomber, are so far confirmed dead.
Abubakar said 17 others were injured.
The attack happened 12:00 noon on Friday,
January 29, barely two days after two female
suicide bombers killed 14 people in Chibok , Borno
State.
It was from Chibok Boko Haram kidnapped over
200 schoolgirls the Nigerian government have
been unable to rescue.
President Muhammdu Buhari said he’s not even
sure if the girls are still alive. But a journalist
with Boko Haram contacts says the schoolgirls
are hale and hearty.
The Chibok and Gombi bombings will be blamed
on Boko Haram which is regarded as the
deadliest terrorist group in the world.
The terrorists, who have killed over 20,000
people in Nigeria since 2009, want to establish
an Islamic Caliphate in the country.
They seized territories in the past but have been
pushed back by a resurgent Nigerian Army.
Nigeria’s army chief, Tukur Burutai, recently
declared victory over Boko Haram claiming the
group is ‘dead.’
