A 33,000 litres tanker fully laden with diesel has crashed into a car in Lagos, leading to a fire outbreak.
A fire outbreak has been reported in the commercial city of Lagos on Monday evening after a 33,000 litres tanker fully laden with diesel reportedly crashed into a car leading to an instant explosion.
According to Premium Times, the tanker which belongs to Bovas Petroleum, crashed on the BMW Car with registration number (LSD 462 CZ) while driving inward Ladipo area, Oshodi-Apapa expressway, Lagos.
It was gathered that the incident led to spillage of the entire content (diesel) of the tanker, thereby leading to an inferno.
While speaking with a correspondent when contacted, an official of Lagos emergency agency said; “No lives lostâ€, adding that “Recovery operation ongoing by the men of the Lagos State Fire Service and LASEMA Response Team.â€
