Apparently the most popular gubernatorial candidate in Ondo, Akeredolu has vowed to clean tears off the face of civil servants in the Sunshine state who have toiled in hardship as a result of the backlog of unpaid salaries under the People's Democratic Party administration.
The standard flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State in the forth coming governorship election, Barr. Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN) has said that the welfare of civil servants is be top priority and it cannot be compromised.
Akeredolu while interacting with members of Media Houses in Ondo State yesterday reiterated his promise on prompt payment of salaries right from the day of ascension of government stating that “salary delay will be a thing of the past and gone will be those days when leave allowances are not paid to civil servants.â€
Barrister Akeredolu believes that as a united party, we should have a united voice and the welfare of the State should be the most important.
He also added that coming into politics is not because there is nothing else to do but the driving force of his ambition is show what good governance really means.
“Why run caretaker Local Government Chairmen, while neglecting caretaker State Government as evident in this present administration where the interest and welfare of the people is not at heartâ€
Akeredolu queried.
He concluded that this opportunity is to serve the people of this State and this has always been his primary objective
