The Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) of the Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU) has called off strike that rocked the institution for almost six weeks.
The announcement was made in a letter by the LASU ASUU Chairman, Dr. Kunle Idris, to the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council, which said that the congress of the ASUU LASU branch had after reviewing the industrial action it embarked upon on 20th May, 2014, decided to suspend the strike in the interest of all.
“Academic activities in LASU will resume immediately”, said Idris.
It will be recalled that before the suspension of the strike, ASUU had met with the management of the school on July 2nd where certain resolutions were reached and agreements were signed by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John Obafunwa and the ASUU-LASU chairman, Kunle Idris.
Good news for all LASU students.
