Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II has given President Muhammadu Buhari and his economic team a stern warning over the hardship Nigerians are facing.
The Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi II, has given serious warning to President Muhammadu Buhari and his party to retrace their steps as the government has failed to live up to peoples expectation.
He said if Buhari does not do anything positive soon, his administration might end up just the way Jonathan’s administration ended.
He said this while speaking as the chairman during the Special Session at the 15th Joint Planning Board and National Council on Development Planning.
According to Punch, the Emir said the economy created terrorism, following the government’s inability to create employment opportunities for the over 80 million youths in the country.
He further lamented over the government’s inabilitly to attract investments as he said the Federal Government should borrow a leaf from Lagos State.
The emir said, “There is nothing we are facing today that we did not know would happen. We made mistakes, many of them deliberate. We ignored every single warning.
â€We should not continue to blame the previous administration, as we have also made some mistakes in the current administration.
“We must retrace our steps; otherwise we may fall into the same trap we fell the last time when the government was always right.
“The bottom line is that if your policy is wrong, it is you that must change.â€
