Four ships waiting to berth in Lagos ports would discharge petrol , the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Monday.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN ) reports that the document noted that the remaining two ships would berth with bulk fertiliser .

Twenty nine ships laden with petroleum products , food items and other goods are expected to arrive Apapa and Tin - Can Island ports in Lagos from Aug . 8 to Aug . 24 .

NPA explained that the expected ships contained buck wheat , bulk sugar, containers , base oil , frozen fish, steel products , ethanol , frozen fish, bulk fertiliser, diesel and petrol .

NAN reports that 17 other ships are at the ports discharging general cargoes, buck wheat , bulk fertiliser , bulk charcoal , empty containers , bulk soya beans, steel products and petrol .
