Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi on
Friday visited Fresh FM located inside
the Music House owned by Gospel
Tungba music exponent, Yinka
AYEFELE in Ibadan, Oyo State, barely
four years after he marked the
property for demolition.

In October 2012, Gov Ajimobi had
threatened to demolish the Music
House due to obstruction to a road
expansion construction along
Challenge to the Ibadan – Lagos
Expressway. Following intense
pressure and appeal from eminent
Nigerians, he shelved the idea.

History beckoned today, four years
after, he drove into the premises
and was received by Ayefele and
top management staff of Fresh FM.

He was conducted round the
premises and later featured in an
interview session conducted in
Yoruba and English broadcast live
to audience.

Ajimobi was reported to have said:-

“Thank God we didn’t heed the
advice to demolish this building. I
thank God I didn’t demolish this
building.”

Governor Ajimobi also begged
Ayefele (Fresh FM) to announce to
people to at least have some little
patience till the state settle the
salary on their neck.
