The days of enjoying MTN 1GB "N500 bonus" for N100 on MTN Startpack is over. MTN recently makes adjustment to the tariff plan then making the MTN Startpack be equivalent to other tariff plans. As of 10th of June 2016, MTN cut the worth of the N500 bonus on N100 recharged to 10naira per MB (N10/MB).
Practically, the N500 bonus is now equivalent to 50MB now instead of 1GB which it used to be.
Although, You can still enjoy making calls with the MTN startpack tariff plan as the call rate still remain intact "N0.67/sec", In other words, the N500 bonus would just last 12.4 minutes on calls to every network.
For those of you who are still thinking of getting the new sim for the browsing aspect then I think it's will be good if you don't kuku buy the sim again because is not of any kind value for you again and if you are the typed that needs it for calling then you can further since the tariff plan is now like Betatalk tariff plan.
