Secretary in the State House, Mr.
Jalal Arabi, yesterday said he and
other permanent secretaries whose
appointments were approved by
President Muhammadu Buhari on
Tuesday have resolved not to fail the
nation.
Arabi who described Buhari as an
examiner noted that his task was
unique and enormous as he would
be operating in the same vicinity
with him.
The newly sworn-in Permanent
Secretary spoke shortly after the

predecessor, Mr. Nebolisa Emordi, to
him at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
According to Arabi, “We are in the
State House where the examiner is. I
believe we will be the yardstick.
“We should do the best we can
because we cannot afford to fail the
President and the nation. We should
be transparent more than ever
before. We shall play by the rules. It
is true that we are in the eye of the
storm and things must work. We
must all push the change. I will not
fail you.â€
Arabi, who until his latest
