Manchester United’s Anthony Martial has been named the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for September.



Martial wins Player of the Month: New signing hits the ground running
The deadline day signing has had a fine start to his Manchester United career, after arriving on a £36million deal from AS Monaco.

Martial pipped Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez and West Ham’s Dimitri Payet , who have also enjoyed good starts to the season.

But 3 goals in 2 games, including winners against Liverpool and Southampton, gave the French teen sensation the edge.

Martial, who has been repeatedly compared to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry , has played down speculation that he’s similar to him.

“Thierry Henry? I know this is a very great player who is a legend in England. I have everything left to prove,” he said, “By continuing to work, I will try to reach his level. But at the moment, I’m still far from it.”
